Eastland and its 131,000 m² of retail, a premium railway station rebuilt in 2016, the Realm library, the Aquanation aquatic centre, and EastLink running to everywhere else. It was declared a city back in 1960, and the Cadbury factory has been making chocolate here since 1967.

Ringwood Station is one of the best in the outer east — two lines, Belgrave and Lilydale, direct to the city in around 40–45 minutes, with a bus interchange right outside Eastland. For the daily commute, it’s hard to beat. But the train was never built for the trips that actually need a car.
