Every arrival

Agreed before you book.
Tolls and airport access fee already inside it.
A ME CABS hotel transfer takes you from Melbourne Airport directly to your hotel for a fixed price agreed at booking. Tolls and the airport access fee are included, we track your flight number, and we run 24 hours to hotels across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
Give us your flight number and hotel name. We set the time, meet you when you land, and drive you to the entrance. You pay the price we agreed — nothing more.
Five steps, and you do three of them.
Tell us the flight and the hotel. Everything after that is ours to arrange.
- 1
Tell us three things
Flight number. Hotel name. How many people and bags.
- 2
See your price
Fixed fare before booking. Tolls and airport access fee already in.
- 3
Fly
We check your flight. Early or late, we move with it. There is no need to call.
- 4
Land and read one message
Your meeting point, for your terminal, waiting when your phone comes off flight mode.
- 5
Go to your hotel
Driver helps with bags and drives to the entrance. Pay the agreed price, and check in.
What you never do
- Queue
- Compare prices while tired
- Explain where a hotel is
- Watch a meter climb in traffic
- Work out which door a car can stop at
- Pay more than expected
Your driver comes to your terminal.
Melbourne's terminals are split by airline, not by domestic and international — T1, T3 and T4 are all domestic, and only T2 is international.
T1
Qantas / QantasLink domestic
Taxi rank on the ground floor outside
T2
All international, including Qantas international
Longest walk out — passport control, bags, customs
T3
Virgin Australia domestic, some regional
Joined to T1 and T2 in the same building
T4
Jetstar, Rex, Link Airways
Separate building with its own transport hub
All terminals are joined by walkways, and a free terminal bus runs 24 hours, about every 15 minutes. You will not need it — we come to your terminal. Your driver sends the meeting point after you land, so there is one message to read and nothing to work out.
Safety. Use only official taxi ranks or a booking made in advance. If someone approaches you inside the terminal offering a ride, say no. Our drivers are commercially licensed and accredited, and yours already knows your name and your booking before you land.
Some hotel doors are on streets
a car is not allowed to use.
Licensed taxis are permitted on some of them. That is one practical reason a taxi reaches a hotel entrance when a private car cannot — and it is the part of this trip nobody else explains.
- 01
Swanston Street
Between Flinders and La Trobe Streets, closed to private cars. Only trams, buses, taxis, rideshare, bicycles and emergency vehicles. A friend's car cannot legally drop you at a hotel door on that stretch. A licensed taxi can.
- 02
Bourke Street Mall
Between Elizabeth and Swanston Streets, closed to motor vehicles other than trams since 1985. Several hotels sit on or beside it. The car stops on the nearest permitted street, and the walk is short.
- 03
Lanes and one-ways
Flinders Lane, Little Collins and the smaller lanes are narrow, often one-way, and lined with loading zones. Many boutique hotels have their entrance on one. There is a correct place to stop, and it is not always outside the door.
- 04
Hook turns
Parts of the city require a right turn made from the left lane, to keep trams moving. Confusing for visitors, and one more reason to let someone else drive.
We’ve already planned this for you
Which side of the building, which street the car can stop on, and whether the entrance faces the main road or a lane — decided before we arrive. If bags have to travel a short distance, your driver helps.
Fixed at booking. It does not move.
Not with traffic, not with the time of day, not with how many people landed on your flight.
Tolls
The main airport road is a toll road. The toll is in your quote.
Airport access fee
The airport charges vehicles to collect passengers. It is in your quote.
Traffic
A meter charges for time. Sitting in traffic costs a metered passenger money. It costs you nothing.
Time of day
4am and 4pm are priced the same way. There is no busy-time increase.

Get fixed farePaying
Card, on the day or in advance. Cabcharge and MPTP are both accepted, and you can pay cash with the driver.
Changed plans. Free cancellation up to 2 hours before your scheduled pickup. Cancellations inside the 2-hour window incur a fee, and no-shows are charged the full fare.
Count bags, not people.
Four people home from a long trip carry far more than four people going to a meeting. Two cars means two fares, two arrival times, and one person in the lobby without the passports. The type you book is the type that arrives — a delayed flight does not downgrade you into whatever is free.
Flex
The standard car, and the default for most hotel runs.
Plus
More boot room. The right call when bags are the problem, not seats.
Group
A large vehicle for a family or team with all the luggage.
Mobility
Wheelchair accessible. MPTP accepted.
Not every arrival is a holiday.
Some guests are older, some are travelling after treatment, some are managing an airport alone for the first time in years. Tell us what help is needed at booking and we send the right vehicle with the right amount of time.
Wheelchair accessible
vehicles booked to the passenger’s actual needs.
MPTP accepted
for eligible members, on hotel trips as on any other.
Extra time allowed
rather than a standard airport turnaround.
Help with bags
to the entrance, and onward trips to hospitals.
Melbourne Airport runs a free assistance service with Travellers Aid inside the terminals, and it can be booked ahead. That covers the terminal; we cover the road.
Your last morning, arranged before your stay begins.
Book the return at the same time as the arrival. We set the collection time from your departing flight.
- 1
Domestic, quiet hours
Drive, bag drop, security. The road is rarely the problem.
- 2
Domestic, peak
Roughly 7–9am and 3–6:30pm the road slows. We leave earlier rather than drive faster.
- 3
International
Longer check-in, heavier bags. We work back from the airline cut-off.
- 4
Very early flights
Quiet roads, but a driver must be allocated ahead. Book early.
- 5
Event weeks and holidays
More traffic, busier terminals. Extra time planned in.
Also available
Hotel to hotel mid-stay
Hotel to a venue, conference centre or wedding
Hotel to a cruise terminal or Avalon Airport
Hotel onward to regional Victoria

How do I get from Melbourne Airport to my hotel?
Book before you fly. Give us your flight number and hotel name. We meet you when you land and drive you to the entrance for a fixed price.
How long does it take to a city hotel?
About 25 to 30 minutes outside peak, for roughly 23 km. Up to an hour in heavy traffic, which is why we set the time against your flight rather than against the distance.
How much is it?
A fixed price quoted before you book, including tolls and the airport access fee. Enter your hotel and pickup details for a live quote — the number you agree is the number you pay.
Where will I meet my driver?
Your driver messages the meeting point after you land, matched to the terminal your aircraft actually parked at. Always follow that message — the airport's pick-up areas change from late 2026.
What if my flight is delayed?
Nothing changes for you. We track the flight and move the pickup to the new landing time, at no extra cost. You do not need to call from the plane.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, ideally before you fly. Booking fixes your price and reserves your vehicle. Large and accessible vehicles should be booked as early as possible.
Can you take me to any Melbourne hotel?
Yes — city, Southbank, Docklands, Carlton, St Kilda, South Yarra, Richmond, the airport hotels, and regional Victoria. The hotel name is enough.
Will you take me to the hotel door?
As close as the law allows. Some entrances are on streets where stopping is restricted. Your driver knows the correct spot and helps with bags.
Can you take a family with a lot of luggage?
Yes. A Group vehicle carries a family and all the bags in one car at one fixed price. Tell us the bag count and we will match the vehicle to it.
Do you have child seats?
Tell us at booking how many you need and the ages, and we will confirm availability for your date before you travel.
Do you have wheelchair-accessible vehicles?
Yes. Tell us what help is needed at booking. MPTP is accepted for eligible members. Melbourne Airport also runs a free assistance service inside the terminals.
Do you pick up at night and very early?
Yes, 24 hours, at the same price as any other time of day.
Can I book the return at the same time?
Yes, and we recommend it. We set the collection time from your departing flight, so your last morning is arranged before your stay begins.
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 2 hours before your scheduled pickup. Cancellations inside the 2-hour window incur a fee, and no-shows are charged the full fare.
Is there a train from Melbourne Airport?
No. As at 2026 there is no train. A rail link is planned and currently expected around 2033. Every trip from the terminals is by road.
Is the airport pick-up area changing?
Yes. From late 2026 a new transport hub opens for T1, T2 and T3 passengers, with free pick-up and drop-off and a dedicated freeway exit. Taxis will drop off in the new zone and keep picking up from the ground-level forecourt. T4 does not change.
How do I pay?
Card, on the day or in advance. Cabcharge and MPTP are both accepted, and you can pay cash with the driver.
