These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between the customer ('you') and ME CABS, a transportation facilitation service operating in Victoria, Australia. By engaging with our platform, whether via website, mobile application, telephone, WhatsApp, or AI-based systems, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms, which govern your access to and use of ME CABS' services. These Terms are drafted in accordance with applicable Australian law and reflect obligations consistent with professional legal standards.
ME CABS acts solely as an intermediary connecting passengers with accredited and independently insured drivers. Services include personal and business ride bookings, parcel deliveries, and pre-scheduled transportation arrangements via digital or telephonic channels.
You must be at least 18 years of age or have parental/guardian consent to use our services. By using ME CABS, you represent that you meet all eligibility requirements and have capacity to enter a binding agreement.
A booking is confirmed upon issuance of a booking ID or formal confirmation via our accepted communication channels. ME CABS reserves the right to modify or cancel any confirmed booking due to safety, compliance, or operational considerations.
Fares are calculated based on base rates, distance, tolls, waiting times, and time of day. Minimum charges and rounding policies may apply. All payments must be completed via approved methods. No fare shall exceed the stated limit for any promotional offer.
You may cancel a booking in accordance with our stated cancellation timeframes. Delayed cancellations or no-shows may attract a cancellation fee. ME CABS shall not be liable for missed services due to customer delay or inaccessibility.
Where explicitly offered, the Free Ride Guarantee applies only to bookings made at least 24 hours in advance, with a trip value not exceeding AUD $200. To qualify, the driver must arrive more than 20 minutes late, excluding events outside reasonable control. ME CABS will process valid claims within a reasonable timeframe.
Drivers connected via ME CABS are accredited under Victorian law and operate as independent contractors. Each driver is solely responsible for maintaining legal insurance coverage. ME CABS accepts no responsibility for claims, damages, or liability arising from driver operations or conduct.
Pursuant to Victorian law, in-car camera systems are installed in all ME CABS vehicles. ME CABS and drivers do not access or control the footage. All recordings are stored in government-regulated systems and are accessible only to authorised government agencies in connection with lawful investigations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ME CABS disclaims liability for delays, loss, or damages arising from third-party actions, traffic, weather events, or platform outages. Our liability is strictly limited to the value of the fare paid by the customer.
ME CABS shall not be held liable for non-performance caused by circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters, civil unrest, strikes, regulatory intervention, or technological failure.
From time to time, ME CABS may issue promotional codes or discounts. These are non-transferable, subject to withdrawal, and limited to one use per customer unless otherwise specified.
You are responsible for providing accurate contact and travel details. Misconduct, misuse of services, or violation of legal or safety regulations may result in service denial and referral to authorities.
All trademarks, designs, content, and software comprising the ME CABS platform are proprietary. Reproduction, redistribution, or exploitation without express permission is prohibited and may constitute a breach of Australian copyright law.
While every effort is made to ensure platform accuracy, ME CABS reserves the right to amend or cancel bookings affected by errors, system faults, or unauthorised access. Services reliant on third-party tools (e.g., maps, payments) are used at your discretion.
All service-related complaints must be lodged within 48 hours of occurrence. If unresolved, disputes may be escalated to Consumer Affairs Victoria or other appropriate government bodies for resolution.
These Terms may be amended at ME CABS’ discretion. Updated versions will be posted on our website and shall take effect from the date of publication. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Victorian courts.
